California recently passed legislation improving access to voting for all citizens.
Still nearly one third of adult citizens from low-income households and eligible to register to vote in California
were not registered in 2010. CWDA and the SAWS Consortia have been working with the Secretary of State (SOS) to
help turn around those numbers by ensuring that our online applications provide a meaningful opportunity for applicants
to register to vote, using the new tool, launched just last month by the SOS, giving Californians the ability
to register to vote online.
