gone to graduate school for my Master’s degree in Social Work, graduated,
spent several years as a line worker and promoted to
supervisor, I probably would have been more than

My career as a Social Worker began
19 years ago. I had just graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social
Work (BSW).I was anxious to see what the world of social work had to offer.
As I prepared my resume, I was encouraged by my family, who all worked for
San Bernardino County, to work for the county. I searched the county job listing
for a social worker position but none were available so I applied to work as
a Social Service Aide.
