Ombudsperson Program

“Assisting Our Customers!”

An Ombudsperson is available at our office to assist custodial parties,
non-custodial parents, employers, agencies, and the general public. The Ombudsperson provides information about our program and helps resolve issues with child support cases.

An Ombudsperson will:

  • Provide information about the child support program, answer questions, and explain your rights and responsibilities.

  • Help you resolve inquiries/disputes, or make recommendations to solve them, before you file a complaint.

  • Assist you in understanding the Complaint Resolution process before and after a complaint is filed.

  • Assist you in preparing for a State Hearing.

  • Arrange for special accommodations or interpreters needed at State Hearings.

An Ombudsperson will not:

  • Provide legal advice.

  • Represent you at State Hearings.
