Complaint Resolution

If you have a problem with your child support case, we are here to help you. We have resources available to assist you with your inquiries or complaints, and most inquiries can be resolved quickly and informally.

 

An inquiry or dispute is made by a custodial party, non-custodial parent, employer, agency, or the general public prior to the filing of a complaint.

A complaint is an unresolved oral or written inquiry or dispute that is made within 90 days from the date the person knew, or should have known, about the subject of the complaint.

 

Our office provides an Ombudsperson to help resolve issues with your child support case, explain your rights and responsibilities, and tell you how to obtain child support services. If you are still unhappy with the assistance you are receiving on your case, the Ombudsperson will assist you in understanding the Complaint Resolution and State Hearing processes which are offered free of charge.
